When you eat something, it becomes a part of you, then you shit it out, and it becomes fertilizer, then a new plant is grown, which is eaten by an insect, which is eaten by a rodent, which is eaten by a small reptile, which is eaten by a larger mammal, which is eaten by a human, who eats something else and the cycle continues.

It’s the same with all plants and animals on the planet. All of life becomes a part of you and you become a part of it.

Killing a plant is just like killing an animal — but that’s not a bad thing. Death is good in that it brings new life.

Life supports life.

All of life is connected.

No matter who is elected as president of the United States, the Deep State always wins. The Deep State, or the unelected bureaucrats running government organizations and the corporate cronies who fund them, make sure that whoever is in the White House does not interfere with their agenda. Despite Trump and Biden being apparent polar opposites, both serve as adequate presidents for the Deep State to do what they wish.

Trump actually ran on some policies that would oppose the Deep State, such as ending the wars. So when he was elected, what did the Deep State do? They used…

I’ve never done meth and I don’t plan to ever do meth, but meth should be legal. All drugs should be legal. There is growing bipartisan support for the legalization of marijuana, even by people who have no desire to ever smoke weed whether it’s legal or not. They acknowledge that prohibition does not work and actually increases crime and violence. This was learned the hard way through the prohibition of alcohol in the 1920s.

Yet those same people aware of the problems with prohibition stop short of advocating the legalization of all drugs. They say, “But of course we…

After using marijuana daily for a few years, I’ve come to discover that weed works better for me weekly rather than daily. With daily use it becomes a habit, automatic, not special because it is expected. With weekly (or longer) intervals, cannabis use becomes a sort of ritual, more special, an event.

Often you start to sleepwalk through life, acting on autopilot. The occasional use of cannabis can serve as a wakeup call to remind yourself to be more conscious, really pay attention. But with daily use, being high on cannabis can become a form of autopilot sleepwalking itself. It…

“When I talk, it’s not a rant — it’s a symphony of ideas.” — Kanye West

Kanye’s recent appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast is a sort of Rorschach test. Some people listen and hear a crazy person while others listen and hear a genius. To me, it’s clearly the latter.

Kanye is like a modern Leonardo da Vinci meets Mozart meets Picasso meets Jesus. He could literally be the second coming of Jesus and the media is figuratively trying to crucify him.

Kanye says he heard God speak to him, which some people automatically use as evidence to call him…

If the political left actually wants to move the United States to the left, they should stop attacking Trump for being a racist and try to work with him. Ignore the crazy stuff he says and look at his actions. He’s actually one of the most liberal Republicans in recent history when you examine his policies. He only says outlandish things to garner support from his base because he knows how easy they are to persuade into loyal support.

Trump sets his followers up by saying the most extreme of things, to get the most extreme of the supporters on…

I came of age during the George W. Bush years and got interested in politics through Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. They made fun of Bush and called him out for his bullshit, and it was fair because he deserved it, being the one in power. But then Obama got elected and Colbert and Stewart continued to make fun of the Republicans, giving Obama-the one in power-a free pass for his bullshit. (Much of which was the same exact bullshit.)

I didn’t recognize the hypocrisy at the time because I liked and trusted Stewart and Colbert, mainly because I thought…

I suffered from anxiety for most of my life, but I never received any treatment until my mid-twenties when I first tried antidepressants. Unsatisfied with the results, I eventually ditched the meds to try a more natural approach. I improved my diet, started exercising, meditating, and did an online cognitive behavioral therapy program. The combination of those things truly helped. I continue the healthy diet, exercise, and meditation to this day. It has been the most helpful thing in combating anxiety. As has learning about neuroscience and evolutionary psychology, what anxiety is and the reasons why I feel anxiety.

It…

The main takeaway from the first 2020 U.S. presidential debate is that the entire concept of a democratically-elected presidency is preposterous. The idea that either Donald Trump or Joe Biden (both near 80 years old) will be the leader to rule over 300+ million people for the next for years is absurd. The idea that any one human rule over millions is absurd-as is the idea that the will of the majority overrule the minority. Add the fact that the appointment of a Supreme Court justice has so much of an effect on people’s lives seems to be a major…

Magicians are people who discover an odd quirk about the human body or brain or some unknown facet of science, then they figure out a way to trick people by hiding or misdirecting the truth and presenting it as “magic.” But…magicians are at least honest in admitting they are tricking you.

Psychics essentially do the same thing as magicians (discover some information or way to use psychology to read people or convince them of something), except they then use that information to exploit people by making them think it’s real, rather than a trick like the magician.

The difference between…
